Dance Lessons:   (see the calendar for specific classes)

We offer a wide variety of dance lessons, throughout the week starting on Sunday afternoons. Each session, for the total price of $5 for members and $7 for non-members, you may attend one or both lessons.  Start with Level I.  Gain additional skill with Level II and Level III.  Gain dance floor experience with Social Dancing.  Polish your skills by attending our Friday Night Parties. 

Level I lessons are designed to get you dancing quickly! 
You don't need a partner - we will rotate. First-time students will feel comfortable with Level I lessons and are encouraged to attend the lessons a couple of times.  After feeling comfortable with the basic steps, students are encouraged to attend the Level II Lessons. 

Start Level I lessons any time!  Lessons repeat on a monthly cycle.  Students need not wait until the first of the lesson sequence to start, however it will make more sense as the lessons progress. Many students find it helpful to repeat the lesson cycle a few times.

Level II and Level III lessons are offered for more experienced dancers.  In the traditional spirit of TSC, our lessons are open to anyone.  However, in fairness to other class participants, students who are not ready for the Intermediate and/or Advanced level should focus on beginner lessons until they feel very comfortable with the classic swing dance patterns and gain some level of proficiency.  

Social dancing is a great way to progress rapidly!  Students are encouraged to attend Social Dancing after lessons, which is free with a paid lesson the same evening.  Our experienced club members are "beginner friendly" and enthusiastically welcome new dancers to social dancing.
